    Celts invade Thrace and Anatolia.
  • 212 BCE
    The Celtic kingdom of Tylis in Thrace is overthrown by native Thracians. Cavaros is the last ruler of the small kingdom.
  • 357 CE - 356 CE
    After defeating the Thracian dynasts Berisades and Cetriporos, Philip II lays the foundation of a new city bearing his name: Philippopolis (modern Plovdiv, Bulgaria).
