Mark Beumer
About Mark Beumer :
Ancient Historian, graduated at Radboud University Nijmegen. I am now writing a dissertation about the Greek goddess Hygieia and the Greek god Asklepios. Research about the identity of Hygieia, her role in the cult of Asklepios and reception history are part of this research. Furthermore I am specialized in early christianity in the Roman world, Roman imperial cult and Greek democracy. I fulfill a lot of voluntary functions, such as historical manager in a project to reconstruct a Roman liburna. I am also editor in chief and reviewer on history books and articles.
